Founded by Al Jenks in 1947

The Midway Restaurant started as a Diner in 1947 serving breakfast and lunch, then adding on the "Midway Club" in the 1950's as it broadened it's legacy to serving dinners with a night club atmosphere.

Many locals enjoyed the night life atmosphere with an awesome selection of great meals and comfort at a reasonable price.

In the late 50's early 60's It was known as The Midway Steak House, continuing to serve breakfast , lunch and dinner.

In the early 80's The Midway Steak House renamed the restaurant The Midway Restaurant, a 3rd generation owned & operated by Jenks' Family with a capacity of 135 serving lunch & dinner open 7 days a week.

With a reputation of a family restaurant offering great food and spirits at a reasonable price the Midway carries on the traditions and rich history of the original restaurant. Originally located on Route 1 in Dedham, Massachusetts.

Bob Jenks, son of Al, took over the tradition in the late 60s and moved from Route 1 to the current Washington Street location. Current Owner Bob Jenks Jr, has been working in the restaurant since 13 years of age, and currently runs the Midway Restaurant with his wife Chef Donna Jenks.
